Season 2 Will Bring Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s Hardcore Mode

Players have requested a Hardcore Mode since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II’s release since it was conspicuously missing from the game when it first came out and is still missing now. Hardcore will be introduced to the game during its forthcoming Season 2. Which starts next month. According to developer Infinity Ward.

This information was only recently released by Infinity Ward. Who also provided information on Ranked Play, new multiplayer modes, maps, and weapons. As well as the return of Resurgence in Warzone 2.0. The gulag in Warzone 2.0 is now a 1v1 battle instead of a 2v2 one like it has been from the game’s inception. And loot from killed adversaries now floats on the ground rather than being kept in a bag. However, it’s obvious that the return of Hardcore is the most intriguing change coming to Season 2. Many of these adjustments are positive.

The tweet from Infinity Ward breaking the announcement has nearly twice as many likes as the other tweets revealing Season 2. It is unknown how Hardcore will appear in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, but if “no HUD” is any indicator. It will be the beloved Hardcore mode that fans have grown accustomed to over the course of several Call of Duty games. For those who are unfamiliar, Hardcore mode often has no HUD. And much speedier deaths. And more features that make it a more challenging deathmatch-type game format overall.
